The convection currents model connects with the climate in Global Ocean Currents.

Explanation:

  • Ocean currents flow to larger distances and together form the greater conveyor belt. The current model plays a dominant role in the climate of earth regions. They influence the temperatures of the regions through which they travel.
  • The surface ocean currents are driven by winds and effects of the Coriolis force. Deep ocean currents are driven by density and temperature changes.
  • The thermohaline circulation in oceans forms a part of the ocean circulation and driven by temperature and density variations. They get the heat from the magma that lies in the mantle and moves in convection currents which rises towards the curst and cool down.
