If my friend has a noisy houseguest visiting that week I would recommend her to go to study in the local library or even a coffee shop. Usually, students rather go outside their home to study and there are plenty of coffee shops that are like "students meeting point" where they play quiet music and the enviroment is great to study. Also the library is a good place because by rule there cannot be loud noises over there, so if the noise is the problem then a library is the perfect place to avoid it.
