For you problem is the equations?

 y=-2x+2
      &
y=2x-3x

then it would be one solution because they are two straight lines that don't have the same slope.

Y = -2x + 2
y = x² - 3x

  -2x + 2 = x² - 3x
+ 2x             + 2x
           2 = x² - x
      2 - 2 = x² - x - 2
           0 = x² - x - 2
           x = -(-1) ± √((-1)² - 4(1)(-2))
                                2(1)
           x = 1 ± √(1 + 8)
                          2
           x = 1 ± √(9)
                       2
           x = 1 ± 3
                    2
           x = 1 + 3    or    x = 1 - 3
                    2                       2
           x = 4       or       x = -2
                 2                        2
           x = 2       or       x = -1

y = -2x + 2
y = -2(2) + 2    or    y = -2(-1) + 2
y = -4 + 2      or      y = 2 + 2
y = -2         or         y = 4
(x, y) = (2, -2) or (-1, 4)

The system has two solutions, which is equal to (2, -2) and (-1, 4).

You can search in google if you want for the "inscribed quadrilateral conjecture"

and if you want... I can give you a quick proof of it

hmmm in short, if you inscribe a quadrilateral polygon in a circle
it will have 4 angles

each pair of opposite angles, are "supplementary angles", or they add up to 180°

so.. that said in yours, R+P = 180 and Q+O = 180 as well

you only need Q

so  \bf \measuredangle Q+\measuredangle O=180\qquad
\begin{cases}
\measuredangle Q=2x+4\\\\
\measuredangle O=2x
\end{cases}\implies (2x+4)+(2x)=180

solve for "x"

how big is Q? well, 2x + 4 :)

#43 I need some help please
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

It will end up a decimal since it is not divisible by 5.  The only numbers divisible by 5 end in 5 or 0.

234÷5 = 46.8

Step-by-step explanation:

The quotient is a decimal number since 234 is not divisible by 5

The only numbers divisible by 5 end in 5 or 0.

234 ÷ 5

200 ÷5 = 40

30 ÷5 =6

4 ÷5 = 4/5 =.8

40+6+.8 = 46.8

An airplane flies constant speed of 720 miles per hour. How long will it take to travel a distance of 1800 miles?
zloy xaker [14]
720/1 = 1800/x.....720 miles to 1 hr = 1800 miles to x hrs
cross multiply
(720)(x) = (1)(1800)
720x = 1800
x = 1800/720
x = 2.5 (or 2 1/2) hrs <==
