10.SHOPPING
So what you want to do is divide the cost by the amount of juice boxes you're getting, so for the first one you want to divide 1.09/3 to get the cost for one box of juice, then for the second 4.39/12 and 8.79/24 to see which is the lowest price per box.1.09/3=0.36333333333 rounded to 0.364.39/12=0.36583333333 rounded to 0.37
8.79/24=0.36625 rounded to 0.37
The answer is the pack of 3 boxes of juice because it is the cheapest price because its 0.36 while the other two are 0.37.

Work:

A 12-pack of boxes is 4 3-pack of boxes, I found this by dividing 12 by 3.

A 24-pack of boxes is 2 12-pack of boxes, found by dividing 24 by 12.

A 24-pack of boxes is 8 3-pack of boxes, found by dividing 24 by 3 or by multiplying the two previous together (sometimes may not work)
Multiply
$1.09 × 4

That gets you to $4.36, which is less than the price of a 12-pack of boxes.

Then, multiply
$4.39 × 2

That gets you $8.78, which is less than a 24-pack of boxes.

Finally, multiply
$1.09 × 8

That gets you $8.72, which is less than a 24-pack of boxes.

Answer:

The best to buy is the 3-pack of boxes of juice, because it is cheaper when buying multiple of the 3-packs than it is to buy one or more of the 12-pack or 24-pack.

Hope this helps anyone with the question.

Solution to this question is, first we need to change the ratio of men to women is 7:5 y = 42y/x = 7/5

Tyler needs at least $205 for a new video game system. He has already saves $30. He earns $7 an hour at his job. Write and solve
azamat
Amount needed=earned+already have
205=earned+30
earned=7 times number of hours=7h

205≤7h+30
we used the less than or equal to because he needs at least 205, means 205 or greater must be earned

205≤7h+30
minus 30 both sides
175≤7h
divide both sides by 7
25≤h
needs to work at least 25 hours
