Cultural diffusion is the introduction of different cultures into society, and subsequently its spread and adoption. In other words, cultural diffusion brings diverse ideas, religions, gastronomy, and customs to another culture that adopts it as its own.

Because American is a country made up mostly of immigrants from all over the world, cultural diffusion was a process widely adopted by the country from its beginnings.

Each of the cultures that have been introduced to the country has mixed with others to create a very diverse country. At the same time, the members of these cultures have preserved and maintained some traditions from their own culture.

<em>An example of cultural diffusion is the gastronomy, much of the most popular food in America is brought from other cultures, for example, pizza, but at the same time, it has been modified for the palate of more people with more common ingredients.</em>
