We divide the total set into several sub-sets (subgroups) that contain the exact same number of members. This way we know the number of total members by adding the number of total subsets.

Answer:

Draw 20 equilateral triangles such that 5 triangles having sides measure 4 cm , 7 triangles have sides measure 7 cm , 3 triangles have side 10 cm and rest of the triangles have side of measure 5 cm.

This will become a set of equilateral triangles .

Let consider a subgroup set of the original set of having equilateral triangle with side-length of 5 cm.

Then the number of triangle having side-length 5 cm= 20-5-7-3=5

Now, the fraction of the group having triangle with side- length 5 cm is given  by:-

\frac{\text{triangle having side-length 5 cm}}{\text{total triangle}}=\frac{5}{20}=\frac{1}{4}

Determine which of the lines, if any, are parallel. Explain.
maxonik [38]

Isolate the variable y

Line a: 3y = x+6

            y =  1/3x + 2

Line b: 3y = x+18

            y = 1/3 x + 6

Line c: 3y = 2x+9

            y = 2/3x +3

Explanation:

Lines a and b are parallel because they have the same slope of 1/3.

On a coordinate grid, where is the center of this circle? x2 + y2 = 2
algol [13]
Hello :
 the standard form is: (x-a)²+(y-b)²=r²
 the center is A(a,b)     r ridus
x²+y² =2
(x-0)²+(y-0)² = 2
the center is :O(0,0)

I am so stuck on this. I need your help. <br>
Aleksandr [31]

You're gonna have to draw your own plot; let's fill in the table.

First let's count and sort the numbers;

2, 9, 10, 12, 14, 14, 15, 22, 32, 36, 43

n = 11

Median is the sixth one, in the middle:  14

Min: 2

Max: 43

Q1: For 11 points, the first quarter is between the 2nd and the 3rd: 9.5

Q3: Between 32 and 36: 34

Outlier? 43 maybe, hard to tell.

Mean: (2+9+10+12+14+14+15+22+32+36+43)/11 = 19

Range: from 2 to 43

IQR: from 9.5 to 39.5

The mean doesn't get plotted in a box and whiskers plot.  The left whisker goes to the minimum, the left box Q1, the line through the box the median, the right box edge Q3, and the right whisker the maximum.

2.

I'm not really sure what they're talking about here, how about b for big blue squares, r for blue rectangles and s for small squares:

(5b + 6r + 10s) - (3b + 2r + 7s) = 2b + 4r + 3s
