How did forming alliances increase the likelihood of war in europe?
erma4kov [3.2K]
During the first great war(WWI) countries had formed defensive alliances with one another. So if 5 countries were in an alliance together, and 1 country was offended by someone, instead of 2 countries going to war, all 5 countries plus who ever started the conflict would all go to war. In case of WWI, instead of 2 countries going to war after archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, countries from Europe and Asia went to war.

The wartime alliance between the united states and the soviet union unraveled into a worldwide rivalry that lasted 46 years. wha
Artemon [7]

The correct answer is - Cold War.

The rivalry between the two biggest powerhouses in the world, the United States and the Soviet Union, was known as the Cold War. The Cold War period is a period of great rivalry, tension, threats, arms race, space race, technological race, pretty much direct and intense competition in everything in order to prove the world, and the opponent, that they are the better one, the strongest one.

Luckily, this 46 year long period, even though with few situations being right on the edge, didn't resulted in another war, because if it did, it was going to be much worse than the World War II by far.

Method for Proposing<br> an Amendment
irina [24]

The word amendment means correcting or modifying the original laws drafted in the US Constitution. Thousands of amendments are deliberated in the Senate.

The first method is when a recommended amendment is given the final consent only after two third of the House of Representatives and Senate approve in favor of the proposed amendment.

Next, the proposed amendment is directed to the states where two third of the states’ approval is sought.

The second method is forming a convention by the legislatures of the states in which two third of the states’ legislature is required to amend the laws.

AP US History question:
Kaylis [27]
The short answer is: "to a great extent". The entire plan of the Federalists was to create a strong central government instead of having many autonomous states. Of course this occasionally went against national unity in the sense that some people were opposed to this plan, but in general they favored unity.
