-6x+5y=8 2x-4y=2 i need a x,y answer and i need some steps too
Advocard [28]

Answer:

I. x = -3

II. y = -2

Explanation:

Given the following algebraic equation;

-6x + 5y = 8 .........equation 1

2x - 4y = 2 ..........equation 2

We would solve the algebraic equation using the substitution method

From equation 1;

5y = 8 + 6x

y = \frac {8 + 6x}{5} .....equation 3

Substituting eqn 3 into eqn 2, we have;

2x - 4(\frac {8 + 6x}{5}) = 2

2x - \frac{32 + 24x}{5} = 2

Multiplying all through by 5

10x - 32 - 24x = 10

Rearranging the equation, we have:

10x - 24x = 10 + 32

-14x = 42

x = \frac {-42}{14}

x = -3

Next we find the value of y;

From eqn 3;

y = \frac {8 + 6x}{5}

Substituting the value of "x" into the equation, we have;

y = \frac {8 + 6*(-3)}{5}

y = \frac {8 - 18}{5}

y = \frac {-10}{5}

y = -2

xxMikexx [17]

Answer: Green Driving (also known as Eco-Driving and Smart Driving) is a series of efficient driving practices that include avoiding unnecessary idling. Green driving is relatively new to the United States. In Europe, and other countries where fuel prices are two to three times higher, it has for years been a well-established practice, as it can save motorists significant sums of money annually. Green driving also reduces climate change producing carbon emissions, conserves energy, improves air quality, and even makes you a safer driver. Answer should be A.

pashok25 [27]

Answer:

According to the nebular theory, the planets formed from a process called <u>accretion</u>.

Explanation:

The nebular theory is a theory that explains the formation of solar systems. After the formation and growth of the proto-star, the gases and dust in the nebula form a disk and spiral quickly around its center under the influence of its gravitation. This long and destructive process ends with the formation of planets, characteristics of which depend on their distance from the star. The term from astrophysics referring to this way of planet formation is <em>accretion</em>. Planets are not only astronomical objects created by accretion processes but galaxies and stars as well.
