own side. "As I enjoyed my experience on the Williamses' farm so my brother did not. It is not perhaps surprising. We were very different personalities – he an introvert, I an extrovert. He tended to opt out of activities around the farm; I volunteered for everything. I loved every minute of it. I don't think I was particularly aware of Michael's unhappiness at the time, because I was enjoying myself.Which theme do the details in this passage most support? Social children adapt to new situations more quickly. Working on a farm is difficult if you have never done it before. People can have different viewpoints on the same situations. Answer:

The theme that is supported by the details in this passage is:

C) People can have different viewpoints on the same situations.

Explanation:

Nigel and Michael are very different people and, for that reason, see the world and situations from different perspectives. While Nigel, being more extroverted, enjoys activities that involve being around others and being outdoors, Michael would rather stay on his own and not join them. The situation is the same. They are both at the same place, being offered the same opportunities. But their viewpoints diverge greatly, to the point where one is happy and the other is not. This serves to show that people can have different perspectives and opinions concerning the same situations.

Is it possible to have a society accepting of each other’s differences?
harina [27]

Answer: Not fully.

Explanation: Even in communist societies, where the concept is for everyone to have the same thing, there is tension between different groups for inherent traits. It depends on your definition of "differences". If there were a group of people who knew nothing of racism, sexism, or any other -ism, it still wouldn't be possible for a society to be entirely accepting of others' differences. For example, maybe someone doesn't like someone else because of the pitch of their voice or a certain personality trait. Those are differences that you may not accept. Other differences could be actions some view as unforgivable, such as theft. In conclusion, I don't believe it's possible to have a society that fully accepts one another's differences. It is possible to have one that gets along together well, or even claims to love each other in all ways, but there will always be conflict between person to person and person to self. It's just life.
