What was the significance of John D Rockefeller in the rise of trusts and monopolies?
Radda [10]

John Davison Rockefeller was an entrepreneur and investor, industrialist, who worked in the world of the oil industry, reaching the point of monopolizing it. He was the founder and president of Standard Oil, a giant company that came to control the extraction, refining, transportation and distribution of more than 90% of US oil and held entire monopolies (in the form of investments) in multiple foreign countries.

His business achievements are as magnificent as they are controversial, because through cunning, ingenuity and a lot of dedication, he ascended in the business world, he built an extensive empire that extended to such an extent that no other company in history has managed to reach to this day. Noted for its monopolistic practices, it was denounced by journalists and investigators, and in the long run the United States government had to confront him, managing to take it to court and after years of litigation it was decided to separate the giant oil company from Rockefeller, separation that took a long time to materialize after being dictated.

do you think the positive effects of the columbian exchange outweighed its negative effect? explain your answer.
Ksju [112]

Answer:

No

Explanation:

My explanation is that they brought many diseases with them from Africa and Spain and that alone killed many native Americans by millions and they also had them overworked and beatin which killed them off too, also they were killed and used to work in mines and they were to convert to Catholicism or be killed. There were barely any good effects like the exchange of goods and introduction to things like horses and potatoes.

hopefully this helps you and if it does mark brainlest pls it really helps. ;)

Which method of protest (boycotts, sit-ins, or marches) had the greatest impact on the civil rights movement? Why?
Elenna [48]

Answer:

Boycotts

Explanation:

I am not completely sure but here is my reasoning. Boycotts had more of an impact because they caused companies and businesses to lose customers. Thus, causing them to have less money to sustain their business.  For example, the Montgomery bus boycotts. People of color and allies quit funding businesses because of segregation laws.
