To bring financial stability

The poem, ‘A White Man’s burden’ represents the ‘objectives’ that are involved in the processes of building an empire. The white man was an epitome of civilization, a stable economy, freedom, and sound administrative systems, and he was entrusted with the task of introducing the civil ways of life to the dark, uncivilized lands, which was left untouched. The poem ‘White Man’s Burden’ is replete with images on the supremacy of the Americans and their ‘duty’ to introduce a stable system of government in the Philippines. The poem has highlighted the sacrifices made by the white man for the sake of ‘greater need’ of humanity, to transform the uncouth savages encountered in Colonies, and beckon them to the light of civilization.

Further Explanation:

Kipling’s poem is very supportive of colonization, viewing it as something that is necessary to be done. Imperialism has been painted in a very positivist note. The discourse of the Western world vs the Oriental World had begun to be formulated around this time, when the inhabitants outside the civilized Western World were termed as barbarians and savages, or stuck in time, incapable of progress. Imperialism was fuelled by extreme nationalism, and the political desire of national leaders to spread the nation’s influence far and wide. The poem by Kipling brings out his views on the question of imperialism, and it seemed that he had viewed the concept of imperialism from a singular perspective. Nineteenth-century led to the spurt of expansionist policies of the Western World in search of cheap raw materials, labor and a lucrative market for finished goods. The poem has been the focal point of several critical arguments and counter-arguments.

I would say A to bring about economic stability in that it was considered that colonial rule would help the economy of the conquered lands and civilize the brutish and barbaric parts of the world at least according to the imperialist philosophy of the times which Rudyard Kipling touted so much.

Why is Macbeth afraid of Banquo?
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

Macbeth is a deeply suspicious man. Having murdered his way to the Scottish throne, he's acutely aware that he could just as easily experience the same fate. Deeply insecure in his power, Macbeth has started to become dangerously paranoid; he sees potential traitors everywhere.

The biggest threat comes from Banquo, not because he's a traitor but because he has all the qualities of kingship. Dashing, charismatic, and with a real nobility of character, Banquo has something of Duncan in him. As long as Banquo is around, Macbeth knows that he can never be safe on the Scottish throne.

Macbeth's also deeply in thrall to the witches' prophecies. The Weird Sisters told him that though Banquo will never become king, his descendants will. This makes Macbeth especially nervous about the security of his throne. He now believes he has no choice but to wipe out Banquo and his entire family if he's ever to have some measure of peace.
