The graph shows the results of a race between Parin and Andrew. Both boys begin the race at the same time. Which statements are

true about the race?
Select each correct answer.

Andrew runs the race at rate of approximately 8.3 yd/s .

Andrew runs the race at a faster rate than Parin.

Andrew finishes the race 1 s after Parin finishes the race.

Andrew is given a 10 yd head start and wins the race.

Parin runs a longer race than Andrew.

Parin started the race before Andrew.

Graph of two line segments on the coordinate plane. Graph is titled race results. The horizontal axis ranges from 0 to 15 in increments of 1 and is labeled time to complete race (seconds). The vertical axis ranges from 0 to 110 in increments of 10 and is labeled yards from finish line. One line segment connects the points begin ordered pair 0 comma 100 end ordered pair and begin ordered pair 12 comma 0 end ordered pair. The segment is labeled Peter. A second segment connects the points begin ordered pair 0 comma 60 end ordered pair and begin ordered pair 13 comma 0 end ordered pair. The segment is labeled Stuart.

Answer:  C, E

The graph shows the results of a race between Parin and Andrew. Both boys begin the race at the same time.

To find the rate of race, we find the slope

We pick two points for Andrew

(0,90)  and (13,0)

Slope = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x1}=\frac{0-90}{13-0} = -6.9

We pick two points for Parin

(0,100)  and (12,0)

Slope = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x1}=\frac{0-100}{12-0} = -8.33

Andrew runs the race at the rate of -6.9 yd/s

Parin runs the race at the rate  of -8.33 yd/s

So, Parin runs the race at a faster rate than Andrew

Andrew finishes the race at 13 seconds

Parin finished the rate at 12 seconds

So, Andrew finishes the race 1 s after Parin finishes the race.

Yards from finish line for Parin is 100 yds

Parin is given a 10 yd head start and wins the race.

So , Parin runs a longer race than Andrew.

Andrew and Parin started the race at time =0

Both of them started at the same time

Alchen [17]

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

You are doing:

(2/5) * 25

You can do it two ways, first divide, then multiply, OR multiply, then divide.

In this case, I will multiply, then divide:

First, multiply:

(2 * 25)/5 = (50)/5

Next, divide:

50/5 = 10

10 is your answer.

What is the base 5 representation of the number 465^8
andreev551 [17]

Answer

Option C : 2214(5)

Solution

The given number is 465 in base 8. To convert this number to base 5,we need to convert this number to base 10, then only we can compute the number in base 5

Step1 : Convert 465 to the base 8 to base 10

4 x 82=256

6 x 81=48

5 x 80=5

Adding 256 + 48+ 5 = 309(10)

Step2 : Convert 309(10) to base 5

5 | 309

5 | 61 |4

5 | 12 | 1

5 | 2  | 2

5 | 0  | 2

Therefore Answer = 2214(5 )
