Miami is littered with wild animals. As they are wild they are unpredictable as are animals in a zoo. Even if they are raised in captivity most are still dangerous animals. But Hardwick uses humane traps and tranquilizers to catch the wild animals and release them back to where they are safe, just like a zoo keeps many endangered animals safe.

Hope this helps :)

Which structure of the eye is correctly matched with its function?
ale4655 [162]

Answer: c. iris – controls the pupil

Explanation:

The iris, a structure which is primarily made up of smooth muscles. These smooth muscles surrounds the pupil. The light enters the eye through pupil which is a black hole present in the middle of the eye. It allows the light to strike the retina. It controls the size of the pupil this way it helps in regulating the amount of light entering the eye. The pupil becomes wider in the darkness and becomes narrower when the light intensity is more. These actions are controlled by iris.

Oxana [17]

<u>Option A</u>) A nucleotide substitution in the coding region of the lactase gene that interferes with the interaction between lactase and lactose.

<h3>What mutation causes lactase persistance?</h3>

A mutation in a single nucleotide, in which thymine replaces cytosine, in the region that controls the expression of the lactase gene is what causes the lactase persistence trait.

This mutation first occurred in Hungry, and then it spread out to other regions of Europe, Africa, and Asia.

This mutation allowed humans to digest milk during adulthood.

According to this information, we can assume that the correct option is A). A nucleotide substitution in the coding region of the lactase gene that interferes with the interaction between lactase and lactose.
