Mean: 6 ADD up all the numbers and then divide by 10. SO 60÷10=6.
Median: 5  Put them in order and find the middle number. In this case 3 and 7 are in the middle. SO add them up and divide by 2.     3 + 7 =10.

Mean is 6 because once you add up all the numbers it will be 60, and dividing that number by how many you have will give you 6

Median is 5 because once you place the numbers in order, 0, 0, 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 13, 15 the middle number in the set is between 3 and 7 and once you find the mean of the two you get 5

Evaluate g (x) = 4- 3x when x = -3, 0, and 5
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

13, 4, -11

Step-by-step explanation:

g(-3) = 4-3(-3) = 4+9 = 13

g(0) = 4-3(0) =4-0 = 4

g(5) = 4-3(5) = 4-15 = -11

Is the relation a function?
mario62 [17]

Yes it is because none of the x are the same number making it a function.

PLEASE HELP ME.Math work: The Head Chef has asked you to create a delicious baked dessert that will have the same volume if it i
nikklg [1K]

Answer:

Large baking dish of cylinder, cone and sphere.

Step-by-step explanation:

When we compute the volume of each of the small and large baking dish taking \pi=3.14, we get

Volume of cylinder (small dish)= \pi(r^2)(h)

                                                  =3.14(\frac{3}{2})^2*3

                                                  = \frac{3.14*9*3}{4}

                                                 = 21.195

Volume of cylinder (large dish)= \pi(r)^2(h)= 3.14*(3)^2(3)

                                                  =84.78

Similarly, volume of cone (smaller dish)= \frac{1}{3} \pi r^{2} h

                                                            = 7.065

Volume of cone (larger dish)= 84.78

Volume of sphere(smaller dish)= \frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}

                                                    = 14.13

Volume of sphere (larger dish) = 85.17 (approx)

Hence, we get that larger baking dish have approximately same volume.

Therefore, large baking dish of cylinder, cone, sphere will be chosen.

lawyer [7]

Answer:

Both situations can be modeled using linear functions

The rate of change of the function that models Regina's towing charge is 2.5

The y-intercept of the functions that model both situations represents the hook up fee

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x -----> the number of miles towed

y ----> the total charge in dollars

we know that

The linear equation in slope intercept form is equal to

where

m is the slope or unit rate of the linear equation

b is the y-intercept or initial value (value of y when the value of x is equal to zero)

we have

Sam’s Towing

In this case the slope of the linear equation is equal to the unit rate

The unit rate is $2.00 per mile towed

so

The y-intercept is equal to the charge per fee

so

therefore

the linear equation is

Regina’s Towing

In this case the slope of the linear equation is equal to the unit rate

The unit rate is $2.50 per mile towed

so

The y-intercept is equal to the charge per fee

so

therefore

the linear equation is

Verify each statement

case 1) Both situations can be modeled using linear functions

The statement is true

See the explanation

case 2) The y-intercept of the function that models Sam's Towing charges is 2

The statement is False

The y-intercept of the function that models Sam's Towing charges is $57

case 3) The rate of change of the function that models Regina's towing charge is 2.5

The statement is true

See the explanation

case 4) The y-intercept of the functions that model both situations represents the hook up fee

The statement is true

See the explanation

case 5) The rate of change of the functions that model both situations represent the miles traveled per hour

The statement is False

The rate of change of the functions that model both situations represent dollars by mile towed
