why did hamilton believe that paying off the states wartime debts was important for the future of the nation
Genrish500 [490]

Today, the national debt that Hamilton began with a bank loan of $19,608.81 is the largest single entry on any set of books in the world. The federal government pays $19,608.81 in interest on its current debt every 2.4 seconds.

What would Hamilton think of his creation today? He would surely be impressed with its sheer size, although he would note that relative to the American GDP, about $14 trillion, it is "not excessive." But he would, I suspect, not be happy with what borrowed money is being used for. Hamilton saw the debt as a powerful means of fighting wars, building infrastructure, and getting through economic bad times. For the last 30 years and more, however, the national debt has been increasingly used so that no one in Washington ever has to say no to anyone.

What action did congress take to help ensure the military reconstruction act was enforced
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

Hiya there!

Explanation:

In early 1866, Congressional Republicans, appalled by mass killing of ex-slaves and adoption of restrictive black codes, seized control of Reconstruction from President Johnson. ... The 14th Amendment also reduced representation in Congress of any southern state that deprived African Americans of the vote.

How was fascism different than other dictators?
vodka [1.7K]
Fascism is something you believe. Dictatorship is something you do. Fascism is something you believe because it is first and foremost a type of political ideology. So basically it's a set of principles and beliefs you hold in your head and want to see in the world. Dictatorship in the modern sense is something you do because it is just a type of mangement. A small group gives the orders, the others follow them and nobody from outside the small group can change the small group.(I said modern sense because in ancient times it was a temporary period of rule by the few in a time of crisis to safeguard a less dictatorial way of running things when no crises were around).
