The answer is letter a.  The unjust effects of the caste system.  What he intended was not to find a new religion but to reform Hinduism.  He believed that the caste system had produced division where the lower the status, the more prejudice the attitude towards a certain class in society.  Apart from that, he was not satisfied with some of the methods of Hinduism where he failed to gain enlightenment.
