What do high birth rates and high fertility rates show in terms of a country's health care system?

History

lana [24]3 years ago

Answer:There is a concern about declining birth rates in both the developing and developed world (www.rand.org). Fertility rates tend to be higher in poorly resourced countries but due to high maternal and perinatal mortality, there is a reduction in birth rates. In developing countries children are needed as a labour force and to provide care for their parents in old age. In these countries, fertility rates are higher due to the lack of access to contraceptives and generally lower levels of female education. The social structure, religious beliefs, economic prosperity and urbanisation within each country are likely to affect birth rates as well as abortion rates, Developed countries tend to have a lower fertility rate due to lifestyle choices associated with economic affluence where mortality rates are low, birth control is easily accessible and children often can become an economic drain caused by housing, education cost and other cost involved in bringing up children. Higher education and professional careers often mean that women have children late in life. This can result in a demographic economic paradox.

Which explains the political challenges in the DRC since Seko’s toppling in 1997? The country is struggling with child soldiers
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

The country is adopting a democracy against many warring parties.

Explanation:

This is the statement that best describes the problems that the Democratic Republic of the Congo has faced since Seko's toppling in 1997.

Following this political development, the DRC became a republic, transitioning from a civil war to a semi-presidential system. The nation drafted a Constitution in 2005, and held elections in 2006. However, the transition has not been smooth. Many political, cultural and religious groups oppose the transition. Many disagree with the ideas of democracy, while others want to take power for themselves. This has led to a difficult democratization process in the nation.

IrinaVladis [17]

Answer:

The answer is command economy.

Explanation:

The example given in the question describes a command economy. In a command economy, the produced goods' price is not adjusted according to the supply and demand curve or by the companies that do the production. It is instead adjusted by the government, so is the rate of production, and what the product will be. This situation checks all those boxes. The government is deciding that the product will be cars, how many will be produced and what price they are going to be sold at.

So the answer is A, command economy.

I hope this answer helps.
