$\dfrac{3\cdot10^4}{4\cdot10^2}=\dfrac{3}{4}\cdot10^{4-2}=\dfrac{3}{4}\cdot10^2=\dfrac{3}{4}\cdot100=3\cdot25=\boxed{75}$

So 3*10⁴ is 75 times greater than 4*10²
