Answer:

Chapter 2 takes place on the next night from Chapter 1. Ponyboy and Johnny go with Dally, another member of the greasers that is the toughest of them all, invites them to a drive-in movie theater. When they get there, they meet two Socs girls, Cherry and Marcia, and Dally tries to impress Cherry, a sympathetic and warm red head girl, but she gets annoyed at him. Dally walks away from the two girls and Ponyboy starts to talk to Cherry. He tries to convince her that all greasers are not annoying and rude. They then talk about Ponyboy's brother Sodapop, and how he dropped out of school and works at the gas station. Ponyboy takes Cherry for popcorn and tells her the one time the Socs beat up Johnny, which is why he is always so shy and humble. The Chapter ends with Ponyboy talking to Cherry, but is there still conflict between the two groups?

What is the rhyme scheme of stereo hearts and what is the rhythm scheme of A Red Red Rose? What patterns are in the rhyme scheme
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

The rhyme scheme of stereo hearts is AABB, while A Red Red Rose follows the ABCB rhyme scheme, it uses an Iambic trimeter in which there are three iams for line: for example that’s sweetly played in tune. They both are talking about love

Explanation:

they both use simile, in Stereo hearts: “Just keep me stuck inside your head, like your favorite tune.”

In A Red Red Rose: “O my Luve is like a red, red rose”

While in A Red Red Rose the first and the second stanzas have the same structure, but different to the second and third stanzas which share the same structure

In stereo hearts: just the 3rd and the 7th stanza share the same pattern and there are not many patterns in this song.

If you can keep your head when all about you
LenaWriter [7]

Answer:

Repetition is a literary device that makes an idea or message clearer by using it continuously.

It can also be used as a rhetorical device; a word, line or sentence repeated to make its significance in the whole text more emphatic.

From the poem above, the poet uses repetition of the word "If" to emphasizes the need for calm.

"If you can wait and not be tired by waiting," from line 5 shows that the author believes there is a reward if we meet a certain requirement.

When he reaches the top of Mount Everest, why is Krakauer in a hurry to start
back down?
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

Oxygen supply become alarmingly low. This is why Krakauer is in a hurry to start back down when he reaches the top of Mount Everest.

Explanation:

“Into Thin Air” by “Jon Krakauer” is story about the author who climbed Mt. Everest. He saw the amazing view of Tibet below him, but he was not able to appreciate it. He was feeling weak and cold. Jon was constantly coughing, and all this was the result of extremely low levels of oxygen due to which his brain was also not working properly.

That’s why he asked “Andy Harris” to conserve the oxygen, but Harris opened the flow of the oxygen. Though he felt a lot better after the oxygen supply, but soon he realized that he would have to go down without oxygen to reach South Summit where another oxygen tank was kept.
