As we know that values outside the modulus is positive or zero.

Then, all the option has positive values or zero except  |5 – 3x| = –8 .

If we plug any values of x it would not be equal to -8 .

Therefore,  |5 – 3x| = –8  has no solution.

Then, (x+2)(x-1)=0

Now first equate x+2=0  ie x=-2

then                 x-1=0 ie x=1

Therefore, x has two values(roots)

that is -2,1
