How did William Shakespeare show Renaissance influences in his work?
polet [3.4K]
Shakespeare's plays are all about questioning authority: kings are deposed; bad people (Iago) triump over good ones (Cassio); your parents don't always know best (the behaviour of the parents in Romeo and Juliet is the cause of all the trouble).
In the Middle Ages people had a general sense that God was in his heaven, and all was right with the world. In the Renaissance people started to ask if that was true.
Shakespeare is always asking difficult questions, which is a very Renaissance thing to do. And he never makes any direct reference to Christian faith in any of his plays:- religious doubt was also a very Renaissance characteristic.

<span>The office of the president is important and the nation needs strong leadership.

Congress has not typically given up its responsibilities, and at times has had a contentious relationship with presidents as the legislative and executive branches check and balance each other's power.  And while some presidents have expanded the power of the office by their popularity, even presidents who weren't highly beloved by the people have managed to increase the power of the office.

How did the founding fathers and constitution address the issue of slavery in america?
pishuonlain [190]
"Although many of the Founding Fathers acknowledged that slavery violated the core American Revolutionary ideal of liberty, their simultaneous commitment to private property rights, principles of limited government, and intersectional harmony prevented them from making a bold move against slavery. In his initial draft of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson condemned the injustice of the slave trade and, by implication, slavery, but he also blamed the presence of enslaved Africans in North America on avaricious British colonial policies. Jefferson thus acknowledged that slavery violated the natural rights of the enslaved, while at the same time he absolved Americans of any responsibility for owning slaves themselves."

If you look at the years of the states and write down the ones in 1889 and 1900, it gets easier. Three that I got were Wshington, Montana, and South Dakota (I'm sure there are more but those were three).
