A telephone company charges a fixed monthly rate plus a rate per megabyte of data used. The company charges $155 for 100 megabyt

es and $245 for 200 megabytes. An equation can be written to show the relationship between the total megabytes of data used (x) and the total monthly charges (y). Which of the following best describes the steps to draw the graph? Draw a graph that joins the points (155, 100) and (245, 200) and has a slope = 0.9 Draw a graph that joins the points (155, 100) and (245, 200) and has a slope = 1.1 Draw a graph that joins the points (100, 155) and (200, 245) and has a slope = 1.1 Draw a graph which joins the points (100, 155) and (200, 245) and has a slope = 0.9

A rope which is 10.3 centimeters long is cut into 4 pieces of equal length. Write an equation to find the length of
alexdok [17]

Answer: x = 10.3 ÷ 4

Step-by-step explanation: if we were to work this out forgetting about the equation it can be worked out by dividing the 10.3 by 4 to find the length of the pieces so, now to express it as an equation, we have to add x into our sum 4 × ? = 10.3 : 4x = 10.3. The answer for x would be x = 2.58.

A soccer ball is kicked from the ground at an upwards velocity of 90 feet per second. The equation h(t)=-16t^(2)+90t gives the h
garri49 [273]

Answer: 2.81 s

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Ball is kicked upward with velocity u=90\ ft/s

Height of the ball is given by the function h(t)=-16t^2+90t

Derivative of a function gives the maxima or minima at certain point

\Rightarrow \dfrac{dh}{dt}=-32t+90\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{dh}{dt}=0\\\\\Rightarrow -32t+90=0\\\\\Rightarrow t=\dfrac{90}{32}\\\\\Rightarrow t=2.81\ s

Thus, it takes ball 2.81 s to reach the top.

PLZ HELP ME
Nat2105 [25]
You need at least 2 congruent angles , or 3 proportional sides , or 2 proportional sides and 1 congruent angle to prove that 2 triangles are similar.
I presume that there should be a picture attached to this question , but if you only have 1 side in proportion ( x ) , you cannot prove the similarity of two triangles.

But if there already were two proportional sides or 1 proportional side and one congruent angle , you can prove they are similar if x = 48

Hope it helps

Andru [333]
X= grade on next test

Add up all scores, divide by 6 and this equals the average of 84

(86 + 91 + 86 + 61 + 87 + x)/6= 84
add in parentheses

(411 + x)/6= 84
multiply both sides by 6

411 + x= 504
subtract 411 from both sides

x= 93

ANSWER: 93 is needed on the next test to have an average of 84

Hope this helps! :)
