The Reyes family decides to install expensive solar panels to replace their current energy source, which uses fossil fuel. Currently, this switch to solar energy comes at a major financial cost. Why might the Reyes familys decision be considered a wise one in 40 years?

Well think of this, Where as the use of fossil fuels would be less expensive immediately it will save them much more money down the road to purchase solar panels, due to the fact that fossil fuels must be burned to produce energy thus they must pay for all the coal, oil, petroleum, etc. to be supplied with energy that is non- reusable. Where as solar panels utilize the energy of the sun which is free and reusable, and never needs to be purchased.
