Metamorphic rocks that have a banded appearance due to the alignment of minerals are called C. foliated.
Clastic means that rocks are made of weathered bits. Nonfoliated rocks do not have a layered or banded appearance, and some examples would be marble, quartzite, etc. Glassy rocks are rocks with few or no crystals, such as obsidian and pumice.

Geography-Citing relevant examples, discuss 4 benefits of possibilism on humanity
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

Hey mate.....

Explanation:

This is ur answer....

Possibilist in cultural geography is the theory that the environment sets certain constraints or limitations, but culture is otherwise determined by social conditions. In cultural ecology, Marshall Sahlins used this concept in order to develop alternative approaches to the environmental determinism dominant at that time in ecological studies. Theory by Strabo in 64 BC that humans can make things happen by their own intelligence over time. Strabo cautioned against the assumption that nature and actions of humans were determined by the physical environment they inhabited. He observed that humans were the active elements in a human-environmental partnership and partnering.

The controversy between geographical possibilism and determinism might be considered as one of (at least) three dominant epistemologic controversies of contemporary geography. The other two controversies are 1) the "debate between neopositivists and neokantians about the "exceptionalism" or the specificity of geography as a science the contention between Mackinder and Kropotkin about what is—or should be.

Possibilism in geography is, thus, considered as a distinct approach to geographical knowledge, directly opposed to geographical determinism.

Hope it helps!

The volcanoes of many Hawaiian island are extinct because
andre [41]

Answer:

b) the Pacific plate has carried the volcanoes away from the hot spot that formed them

Explanation:

The Hawaiian islands all have volcanic origin. Some are not active, while some still are. All of these islands have been active volcanoes at one point of time, and they have been created by a hot spot that lies beneath the Pacific plate. The hot spot has such a power that it actually manages to break through the central part of the plate where its crust is the strongest and densest. As the magma manages to come out above the water, it manages to create volcanic islands. The Pacific plate though is moving, it is not static, so it drags the volcanic islands away from the hot spot, causing their extinguishing. As those islands are moved away, the hot spot creates new volcanic islands, and the process constantly continuous, resulting in a volcanic island chain.
