0.2x+0.9 = 0.3-0.1x

0.2x+0.1x = 0.3-0.9

0.3x = -0.6

x = -0.6/0.3

x = -0.2

First get the variables onto one side. Add 0.1x to both sides and subtract 0.9 to both side. You should get 0.3x=-0.6. Divdie 0.3 to both side and x=2.

Hope that helps.

Find the value of x. Round to<br> the nearest tenth.<br> 17°<br> 47<br> Х<br> X =[?]
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

13.7 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there!

The dotted lines and the hypotenuse of the green triangle create a new right triangle, with one of its acute angles measuring 17 degrees and its hypotenuse measuring 47 units.

Given this information and that we must solve for the side opposite the given angle, we can use the sine ratio:

sin\theta=\frac{opposite}{hypotenuse}

Plug in known information

sin17=\frac{x}{47}\\47*sin17=x\\13.7=x

Therefore, the value of x when rounded to the nearest tenth is 13.7 units.

I hope this helps!

In circle R with mZQRS = 66 and QR = 4 units find area of sector QRS. Round
Reika [66]

Answer:

A_s=9.22\ units^2

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Area of a Circular Sector</u>

A circular sector is a shape formed by two radios and the part of the circumference they define. A central angle \theta (in radians) is formed and the area of the sector is given by

\displaystyle A_s=\frac{1}{2}\theta\cdot r^2

The dimensions provided in the questions are

\theta=66^o

r=4\ units

Converting the angle to radians

\theta=66\cdot \pi/180=1.152\ rad

Now we compute the area

\displaystyle A_s=\frac{1}{2}\cdot 1.152\cdot 4^2

A_s=9.22\ units^2

A pie was cut into 8 equal pieces. If Malena ate 18 of the pie, and Lupe ate 58 of the pie, how many whole pieces of the pie are
Andru [333]

Answer:

2/8ths are left

Step-by-step explanation:

8 equal.pieces means 8/8

she ate 1/8 and he ate 5/8

thats 6/8

I need help please.
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

<u>Third Option</u>: y = \frac{5}{4}x

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the points on the graph, (4, 5) and (-4, -5):

In order to determine the equation of the given graph in slope-intercept form, y = mx + b:

Use the given points to solve for the slope:

Let (x₁, y₁) = (-4, -5)

(x₂, y₂) = (4, 5)

m = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

m = \frac{5 - (5)}{4 - (-4)}  = \frac{5 + 5}{4 + 4}  = \frac{10}{8} = \frac{5}{4}

Therefore, the slope of the line is: m = \frac{5}{4}.

Next, use one of the given points on the graph, (4, 5) to solve for the y-intercept, b:

y = mx + b

5 = \frac{5}{4} (4) + b

5 = 5 + b

5 - 5 = 5 - 5 + b

0 = b

Therefore, the linear equation in slope-intercept form is: y = \frac{5}{4}x.  The correct answer is Option 3.
