Number of Blue A's = 2

Number of green A = 1

Number of green P = 1

Number of Blue L = 1

Number of Pink O = 1

Number of Pink I = 1

Number of Pink S = 1

Total number of tiles in a bag = 8

Number of tiles of not drawing Blue A = Number of green A + Number of green P + Number of Blue L + Number of Pink O + Number of Pink I + Number of Pink S

Number of tiles of not drawing Blue A = 1 + 1 + 1+ 1 +1 +1 = 6

P(of Not drawing blue A ) = \frac{Not drawing blue A }{Total number of tiles}

P(of Not drawing blue A ) = \frac{6}{8}

P(of Not drawing blue A ) = 0.75

A golfer hits the golf ball. The quadratic function y = −16x^2 + 80x gives the time x seconds when the golf ball is at height 0
svetlana [45]
You need to calculate the two zeros of the function. The first zero is the "start", the second zero is the "end" of the trajectory.

Well...

0 = x(-16x+80)

First zero is x=0 (the start of trajectory)

Second zero:

-16x+80=0.... x=5! (The end of the trajectory!)

Good luck!
