For 300 cubic feet, they will pay 5.56$ and there will still be 500 cubic feet.

if 100 cubic feet cost ............. 1.74$
   500 cubic feet cost...............x
x=5*1.74=8.7$

Final amount = 8.7+5.56=14.26$
