The correct rule is "a person could not marry a person of lower social standing."
If you are born into a lower social class & became wealthier, had good behavior, owned more land, etc., it wouldn't change your position.
You are going to be stuck with the same social class your entire life, same thing would happen if your parents were in the lower social class & you became more successful, you would still be in the same class as your parents. You would work the jobs they worked & go through what they have to go through. Though I believe later on it was socially acceptable to marry to a lower class, but it was taboo.
Hopefully this helped of some sort!
The war ended British hegemony over Europe and showed that France was now a great power too. Joan of Arc's death and battles motivated Frenchmen to unite even more against British and eventually they won the war and became a power to be reckoned with in Europe.

<span>"The natives were not legal owners of the land and we were justified in our treatment of them."
This is true because, as told by the story the settlers took advantage of the Indians because they knew they could get away with it. The governor wanted to help but didn't because he cared more for the settlers than the Indians, albeit he still cared.</span>
Answer:
It depends on your point of view.
Explanation:
Capitalism provides more benefit to society because it gives people more choice, allows people to create more wealth, and ensures that what society needs is produced.
Socialism means there is equal opportunity for all. Large-scale industries are cooperative efforts, and thus, the returns from these industries must be returned to and benefit society as a whole. Socialists believe economic inequality is very bad for society, and the central government is responsible for reducing it by implementing programs that benefit the most in need ones.
