A subordinate clause is part of a sentence that would not make sense on its own. For example

The cat was tired, as he always ran around the field

The part in bold is the main clause

and the part underlined is the subordinate clause

Conduct research on the philosophy of Karl Marx, and write an essay of at least 200 words discussing the similarities between hi
Usimov [2.4K]
Karl Marx spent most of his life researching at the British Museum on the nature of class society and the role of the working class in developing its own ideology of socialism whereby society will no longer be run by the bourgeosie but instead, by the advanced elements of the working class to serve the needs of the vast majority of the people, similar to what the government does in Cuba to provide basic free healthcare, education and such conditions as a lower child mortality rate than the US for example. Karl Marx and his partner in Britain, Friedrich Engels believed that the working class was born out of the socialized production of the Industrial Revolution wherein large numbers of workers were concentrated in single factories or mines. They also believed that the new working class was the most scientific class and the strongest class and most numerous in the history of the world and totally capable of forging a new people oriented society. Marx died before the Russian Revolution in 1917.
Old Major, the boar in George Orwell's book, the Animal Farm, exhorted the animals to rebel against their human masters who were oppressing them. He died before he could see the success of the animals in this endeavour.

steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

The cognitive bias presented in the question above is an example of framing bias.

Explanation:

Cognitive bias is the term used to designate a deviation from rationality and logic, which our brain makes to confirm information based on our own mental patterns and not based on real and concrete factors. In the question above, we can see an example of cognitive bias called framing bias. Framing bias refers to the mental illusion of judging the quality of an element based on information presented by other elements. In this type of bias, it is common for a comparison to be made between the elements, where it is concluded, incorrectly, that the element less similar to the high quality element is less valuable. We have an example of this type of bias in the question above, where after receiving the information that St. Louise Hawks was the best team in the league, the Kansas City Kings concluded that it would be the worst team in the league, as it was too different from the other teams.

Which best describes the main idea of President Kennedy’s “Address at Rice University on the Nation's Space Effort?”
SIZIF [17.4K]

When John F. Kennedy became president in January 1961, Americans had the perception that the United States was losing the "space race" with the Soviets. President Kennedy understood the need and had the vision of not only matching the Soviets, but surpassing them. On May 25, 1961, he stood before Congress and proclaimed that “this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before the decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.”

On September 12, 1962, President Kennedy delivered a speech describing his goals for the nation’s space effort before a crowd of 35,000 people in the football stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
