The photograph above is of a traditional Chinese wedding. Compare it to a wedding you would traditionally see in countries such as the U.S., and how is it an example of how color can create symbolic meaning.

Without looking at the photo, (none attached), I would assume that there is a lot of red involved. A simple answer would be that the colour red is a symbol of prosperity and luck in Chinese tradition. This is also seen in many Chinese festivities, especially during the Lunar New Year.
In countries such as the U.S, the colour white symbolises purity and longevity, but has deeper origins, such as that the colour white was used to signify a family's wealth, as in the past it was difficult to keep white clothing clean and hence only the rich would own them.
Similarly, red (and yellow) clothing used to be reserved for Chinese Emperors, hence today they are worn to symbolise a position of wealth and status.
