The Great American Biotic Interchange (GABI) was an historical period at which numerous species from South America migrated to North America, and numerous species from North America migrated to South America because of the formation of the Isthmus of Panama. How do mirnas function in controlling gene expression? view available hint(s) how do mirnas function in controlling gene express
kirill115 [55]
I believe the miRNAs control gene expression by binding to mRNAs and degrading them or blocking their translation. The microRNAs are short non coding RNAs which function to regulate the process of gene expression. They bind to the 3-UTR of the target mRNAs and repress the production of protein by destabilizing the mRNA and translational silencing.

The map shows the distribution of wild boars in the United States. Wild boars are an invasive species to the United States. A ma
GaryK [48]

Answer:

Wild boars have successfully established in areas with warm climates.

Explanation:

As you can see in the description of the map shown in the question above, wild boar, although an invasive species in the USA, settled more easily in Texas, California and Florida, and along the southern notes, which are regions that usually have a climate hot most of the year. This means that wild boars have greater affinities with warm climate regions within the country.

An invasive species is one that is taken to a region where it does not occur naturally. These species can become real pests if the invaded environment does not have natural predators that limit their multiplication.
