It says "We have few freedoms in our country" which means it's not A (and probably USSR because of the rules that don't give you freedom of speech.

It says "I work in a factory run by the government" which means it's run by the <em>government </em>the soviet union was a dictatorship, everything was run by the government and in many ways it was good, some ways not.

It says "authorized by the government" which also relates to the soviet unions government

I don't know how to explain it, but command economy is something the soviet union had.

Answer: Yes. We were better over time but we became a poor country until people from all over the world started coming to seek a free country with a right of free religion.  Then by the 1800's the US was becoming one of the richer country's across the world.
