Answer:

As a result of the three- fifths clause the white south exercised greater power in national affairs than its free population warranted. Letter A

Explanation:

The three -fifths clause determined that every enslaved American would be counted as three-fifths of a person for taxation and representation purposes. This agreement gave the Southern states more electoral power than they would have if the enslaved population had been ignored entirely.

Complete the following paragraph about enslaved people's efforts to revolt or acquire independence.
krek1111 [17]

There were several instances during the colonial or Revolutionary Era where enslaved people attempted revolt or fight to their own independence. The first nation where a slave uprising was successful was Haiti.

The rebellion resulted in the creation of brutal slave codes that would not be lifted until after the Civil War.

Haiti is an antillean country in America located in the Caribbean Sea. Haiti stands out worldwide for being the first country in which slavery was abolished in 1804, after achieving its independence from France.

This revolution influenced the thinking of the slaves in the other American nations. However, the rulers became more restrictive to avoid the rebelion of the slaves.

30 POINTS!!! Write a paragraph comparing the changes in government after the American and French
faltersainse [42]

Answer:

Similarity--both the US and France went through periods of adjustment on their way to a permanent government.

Difference--the US was able to create a democratic government and make changes from the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution without a complete revolution and extreme violence. France on the other hand established a tyrannical government and then a dictatorship under the rule of Napoleon. It took more time and stages for France to find a democratic balance they were hoping for.
