As a citizen of the united states ion the early 19th century the purposal of the Monroe Doctrine would offer not only a sense of optimism regarding my countries position in the world, but also a sense of hope for the non-colonised  and recently liberate nations of the  western hemisphere.

The reason for this is that while monarquism and colonial interest was on the rise in Europe, partly dur to the Napleonic Wars which saw the rise of the French Monarchy post- french revolution, the Monroe doctrine promised to keep European interest out of the Americas and to prevent America from getting entangled with European conflicts.

In keeping European influence out of the western hemisphere or new world, it would allow not only  allow the nations (In this case The United States) to floruish without the influence of European biasis and rivalries, but also allow new nations to develop freely from the influence of the European Elite.

As well as  the fact that the U.S. was to stay out of European conflicts meant that we would not be inadvertantly be fighting to defend European colonial empires and their internal power stuggles. And Thus spending man power and resoucres at that were not readily available to spend at the time in meanless conflicts that brought no benefit to the New World and only the Old World

To conclude in opposing European colonialism and enforcing neutrality the Monroe Doctrine felt the a step in the right direction morally and logically, and as an 19th century Aermican citizen I would fell that my nation was taking a step in the right direction.

Slav-nsk [51]
The answer to this question would be A.  Montesquieu believed in separation of powers. There should be three branches and each branch should be able to "check" the other. No branch would have more power than the others. The two houses of legislature would be able to block bills introduced by the president, while the president can veto any bills he found improper that were drafted by the legislative branch.
