The parasites infect the animals and cause illness. These can damage the lining of the intestines of the pets. Also, pets are not able to absorb nutrients if they are infected with parasites. The harm is not caused to animals alone. Humans can also get infected with some of the parasites infecting their pets. That is why, its a serious concern for veterinarians.
