Find the value of x. 7, 8, and 9 please!

Mathematics
1 answer:
natima [27]3 years ago
6 0

Answer:

7) x= 5, 8) x= 6, 9) x= 7

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the secant theoram, if two secant intersect outside the circle then the product of the exterior secant and total length of each secant are equal.

7) ∴ (x+3)\times 3= (10+2)\times 2

opening parethesis and distributing 3 with x and 3.

⇒ 3x+9=24

subtracting 9 on both side.

⇒ 3x=15

cross multiplying

∴ x= 5.

8) (3+5)\times 5= (x+4)\times 4

Opening parethesis and distributing 4 with x and 4.

⇒ 8\times 5=4x+16

⇒ 40=4x+16

subtracting 16 on both side.

⇒ 24=4x

cross multiplying

∴ x= 6.

9) (x+5)\times 5= (6+4)\times 6

opening parethesis and distributing 5 with x and 5.

⇒ 5x+25=60

subtracting 25 on both side.

⇒ 3x=35

cross multiplying

∴ x= 7.

How many feet are there in 24 yards?

A. 288
B. 8
C. 2
D. 72
Mkey [24]
First of all we need to know that 1 yard has 3 feet inside of it
but in order to find 24 yards we would have to multiply by 3 sooo
24 x 3 = 72
so that means there are 72 feet in 24 yards.
In other words the answer is D:)
hope this helps:P

For what value of the variable will the expression 8b−27 be equal to the following:
5
qaws [65]

Answer:

We need to find the value of b to make 8b - 27 be equal to 5, so:

8b - 27 = 5

We solve the equation:

8b = 5 + 27

8b = 32

We divide both sides by 8:

b = 32/8 = 4

So now, we know that b=4, and we can verify:

8*4 - 27 = 5

32 - 27 = 5 TRUE

Can someone help me??
Allushta [10]

Answer:

67.5 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

The piece that isn't marked with xs is 90 degrees marked by the square symbol representing a right angle.

Full circle = 360 degrees

360 degrees - 90 degrees = 270 degrees

Now, if we add all the like terms we have 4 x's in total. This is becauswe 3x + another x = 4x.

So, we need to divide 270 by 4. We get 67.5 degrees.

Hope this helps!
