If the value of 'a' is 3 & if the value of 'b' is 5

a = 3
-------
b=5

Does this make it more "easier " for you to understand ?

it kind of, sort of gave you the answer (keep in mind )

its not▶ a = 5 & B = 3 (that's how we know this isn't your answer) (option C.) ; its not saying a = 2 & B= 5 (now we know that not your answer as well). (option A.)

So, from the looks of it your answer would have to be 3/5 (option B.)

Note: Just pay close attention to what the question is asking you

Good Luck!

Which table contains the vertex of the graph represented by y=x^2-6x+4?
notka56 [123]

Answer:

Table B

Vertex is (3,-5)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given with an equation of a parabola y=x^2-6x+4

Let is convert it into standard form of a parabola

y=x^2-6x+4

adding and subtracting 9 in the right hand side of the =

y=x^2-6x+9-9+4

y=x^2-2\times 3\times x+ 3^2-9+4

the first three terms of the right hand side forms the expression of square of difference

a^2-2 \times a \times b+b^2 = (a-b)^2

Hence

y=(x-3)^2-5

adding 5 on both sides we get

(y+5)=(x-3)^2

Comparing it with the standard equation of a parabola

X^2=4\times \frac{1}{4} \times Y

where X=x-3 and Y=y+5

The vertex of X^2=4\times \frac{1}{4} \times Y will be (0,0)

and thus vertex of

(y+5)=(x-3)^2 will be (3,-5)

Hence the Table B is our right answer

Write the final coordinates of the image of D, E, A after the following transformations
cluponka [151]

Step-by-step explanation:

well, the translation (x+6, y+1) creates the following points :

D goes from (-4,-4) to (2,-3)

E goes from (-4,-2) to (2,-1)

A good from (-1,-4) to (5,-3)

the reflection over the x-axis leaves then the x values unchanged, and negative y values turn positive (or vice versa, if we had a case here).

so,

D' = (2,3)

E' = (2,1)

A' = (5,3)
