Answer:

the split of Austria-Hungary

Explanation:

The Austro-Hungarian Empire, or simply Austria-Hungary, was a European state created in 1867 after the so-called Austro-Hungarian Compromise, which equated the status of the Kingdom of Hungary with that of the Austrian Empire, both under the same monarch. The full official name of the Empire is translated as: "The Kingdoms and Territories represented in the Imperial Council and the Territories of the Hungarian Holy Crown of Saint Stephen".

In 1914, on the eve of the First World War that would lead to its dissolution, the Empire had an extension of 675 936 km² and a population of 52 800 000 inhabitants, being considered one of the great European and world powers, standing out especially for its cultural, artistic and intellectual prestige.

After the defeat in the First World War, various national movements emerged that promoted the dissolution of the Empire and the formation of nation-states that welcomed the diverse ethnic groups existing in the region. In 1919, Austria-Hungary was dissolved, giving rise to the German states of Austria, the Kingdom of Hungary, Czechoslovakia, the Free State of Fiume and the State of the Slovenes, Croats and Serbs, while some regions were annexed by neighboring countries .

Answer:

2.By 476 AD, Christianity had spread to most of the Roman Empire, and, in some cases, past those boundaries.

Emperor Constantine the Great was kind to Christians. He understood the strength of the new faith and understood that Rome would also become strong if it had the support of the new church. That is why in 313 he passed the Edict of Milan.  The Edict of Milan equated Christianity with paganism, so Christians were allowed to preach their religion freely.  It took Christianity less than a century after the Edict of Milan to become the only official religion of the Roman Empire.  Respect for the pagan gods was banned by Emperor Theodosius I in 391 AD.

3. along the coasts of the Roman Empire

Before the Edict of Milan Christians were punished and persecuted, Christians were especially severely persecuted in the 3rd century - they were tortured, crucified, burned. The last emperor to support persecution was Diocletian. That is why the areas they were covering were not so wide.

4. Mountains made this region difficult to access.

Already during the reign of Julius Caesar Romans started conquering the region of Gaul, but in the same period Hispania was one of their goals. Still, a small area between was hard to reach because of the mountainous terrain.

Slaves did not just capitulate to their situation. What were some ways slaves
artcher [175]
Some ways that slaves resisted slavery was by rebelling, being less productive at work, stealing from their owners, and sometimes actually harming their owners (or just other white people).  The slaves demonstrated a sense of semi-independence or self- worth through having their own subculture with their own unique music, having a religion and their own churches to tie them together, as well as celebrating their African roots and traditions. Slave masters allowed some of these behaviors so as to avoid their slaves becoming really aggressive towards them, as well as giving the slaves some "freedoms" encouraged and motivated slaves so they didn't get too hostile.
