Can an ecosystem support an infinite number of deer? Why or why not

Biology

Answer:

An ecosystem can't support an infinite number of deer.

Explanation:

In an ecosystem, there are producers, consumers and decomposers are biotic components and they interact with abiotic components. The biotic components form the food chain. In a food chain, grasses and trees are producers as they synthesize food through photosynthesis.

Deer is a primary consumer that feeds on producers. An ecosystem can't support an infinite number of deer because it will eat producers at an exponential rate which will result in lack of food and will create ecological imbalance.

To sustain ecological balance, the ecosystem, can't support an infinite number of deer.

Answer:

Option (A)

Explanation:

Convergent evolution may be defined as the independent evolution of similar features in different species. This evolution shows analogous structure that perform similar function but do not have a common ancestor.

Penguins, sea turtles and manatees forelimb is an example of convergent evolution because similar forelimb structure evolution has occurred in different species lineage. The convergent evolution of forelimb structure in these species permit movement in water.

Thus, the correct answer is option (A).

A DECREASE in the density of a sample of a gas inside a balloon could be caused by A) putting the balloon in the refrigerator. B
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

B

Explanation:

When a mass of air is heated it becomes less dense. This is why a hot air balloon rises in the atmosphere. It is also the same reason why hot air rises and the moisture in it condenses to form clouds. The cooler less dense air mass moves downards (in some convection currents fashion) in to replace the hot rising air.
