Suppose you recently moved to the colonies from England. You want to write a letter to your family in England describing your li
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

Dear Mo, March 30, 1692

I have moved to the wonderful colonie of Pennsylvania. I am a farmer here with a wife and 5 children. We do the farm chores which include cooking, cleaning, caring for the animals, caring for ourselves, building and planting and harvesting crops. When I moved here my neighbors organized a working bee to get my farmed built. At the end, we all got drunk and had fun. That is also where I met my wife. Sadly our eldest son, John, died of smallpox, so we had to make a plot for him. That really brought are family together. The wonderful thing about living in Pennsylvania is that we all care for each other which is how I got my barn. Also, our children get a good education which I heard was not that prevalent here in the colonies. Thankfully their is no slavery here because we believe that it is a sin. I would like to know that the English Bill of rights actually gives us rights and what parliament is doing right now, because you somehow were elected to the Commons.

From Your Favorite and Only Older Brother,

John

How did pennsylvania settlers undermine william penn's vision for his proprietary colony?
maria [59]
William Penn, the founding character of the colony of Pennsylvania was a Quaker-Whig who sought the opportunity for religious choice and absence of oppression which he faced in England. When determining the founding principles for Pennsylvania Penn relied on self-governance and freedom of religion and religious practices.
Initially, the settlers of Pennslyvania and Penn were in agreement about the structure of government needed in the colony, however, over time the representative body sought the right to pass laws over the people living the town, something Penn opposed. None the less, Penn endorsed representative government over self-governance and agreed to the passage of laws in the colony.

Why did the Montgomery bus boycott succeed?
kow [346]
It was a kind of social protest - people did not want to be discriminated because of their race or sex. This event was a precedence - nobody thought that something like this protest could occur at that time. Rosa Parks did something that made people think about tolerance and also made other people join her protest in different places.
