Roger Williams was a strong religious and political leader who advocated for the separation of the church from the affairs of the states. he was a strong supporter of Religious freedom and one of the early Abolitionists of slavery in America. he founded the providence plantations which later became known as the Rhode Islands.
He was born 21 December 1603 and he was a religious leader that arrived in America from England he was also the founder of the first Baptist church in America.
