There are 4 sides so add 4 sides
3x-4+3x-4+2x+3+2x+3=78

Combine like terms
10x-2=78

Add 2 to each side of the equation
10x=80

Divide by 10
X=8

Enter x into equation
3(8)-4=20
2(8)+3=19

Multiply by 2
20 x 2= 40
19 x 2 = 38
40 +38 =78

Side 1- 20
Side 2- 19
Side 3- 20
Side 4- 19

In quadrilateral PQRS, the coordinates are (0,0), R(a +c, b), and S(a, b). How can you use coordinate geometry to show that the
aliina [53]

Answer:By definition, perpendicular line are two lines that intersect at right angles. In other words, the angle made by two lines should be 90°. Therefore, the use of distance formula does not help because it only tells you if the sides are equal. It does not tell you about the intercepted angle.

A technique that can help you to know if two straight lines are perpendicular is is you find their slopes. Let's say the slope of line 1 is m1 and the slope of line 2 is m2. If m1*m2 yields a product of -1, then the lines are perpendicular. This is because if m1 is the negative reciprocal of m2, the lines are perpendicular. But if m1=m2, the lines are parallel, meaning they don't intersect at all.

Therefore, the answer is: Find the slopes and show that their product is -1.

If i have 35% of a phones and its now $78 how much was the phone before the discount
denpristay [2]

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply $78 by by 65/100 to determine the original price.

78 can be put over 1.

<u>Multiply</u><u>:</u>

\frac{78}{1}  \times  \frac{65}{100}  =  \frac{5070}{100}

<u>Simplify by dividing the numerator and denominator by 100:</u>

\frac{5070 \div 100}{100 \div 100}  =  \frac{50.70}{1}

The original price was $50.70.

ser-zykov [4K]

The sale price S (in dollars) of an item is given by the formula

S=L−rL , where L is the list price (in dollars) and r is the discount rate.

Since, S = L -rL

rL = L -S

r = \frac{L-S}{L}

r = 1-\frac{S}{L}

Since, the listed price of the shirt is $30, we have to find the discount rate.

Therefore, r = 1-\frac{S}{30} is the discount rate.

The perimeter of a triangle is 50 mm. The lengths of 2 of the sides are 13.5 mm and 14.5 mm. Find the missing length.
Naddik [55]
The missing side length should be 22. Add 13.5 to 14.5 and you should get 28. Subtract 28 from the total perimeter (50) to get 22.
