Answer:

7.5 to 467.5.

Explanation:

Please note that In order to be fast, I make use of excel during the Calculation.

So, the first thing to do is to make sure that the observation is arranged in an increasing order.

Step one: Calculate the value for J1 and J3.

Know that J1 = J3. Where J3 = 3rd quartile.

Hence, J1 = 1st QUARTILE = QUARTILE. EXC (data, 1) = 18.

Also, J3 = QUARTILE. EXC(data, 3). = 29.5.

Therefore, the difference between the first quartile and the third QUARTILE = 29.5 - 18 = 11.5.

Step two: calculate the value for the higher fence and the lower fence respectively.

Thus, for the higher fence we have;

J3 + 1.5( 11.5).

= 29.5 + 1.5(11.5).

= 46.75.= (46.75 × 10) = 467.5).

Then, for the lower fence;

J1 - 1.5( 11.5).

= 18 - 1.5(11.5).

= 0.75 = (.75 × 10) = 7.5.

stiv31 [10]

Answer:

C. Stops receiving revenue and is stuck with its fixed costs

Explanation:

Shut down means that a firm is temporarily suspending the production but not exiting the industry or going out o business and the firm would start production if the market improves. It is a short-run decision. A firm that has been shut down generates zero revenue and doesn't incurs variable costs, but does incurs the fixed costs. Its profits is equal to the negative of fixed costs. Rents and other business costs that remains constant regardless of the good and services produced is called fixed costs.

Tim owes Visa $800 on a credit card bill. Visa purchased a fire insurance policy covering Tim's home. If Tim's home is destroyed
jonny [76]

Answer: $800 or Above $800

Explanation: Visa will only be indemnified based on the total damage the fire caused, because in property insurance no one knows the extent of a damage initially untill the loss occurs then they make use of loss adjusters and surveyors to know the extent and amount of claim payable.

However, this is a third party insurance and idemnity will pay paid by the insurer based on the insurance policy Visa wrote.

Logically, it can not be less than $800, because Visa wanted to safeguard her money that is why she initiated the policy.

An Empirical Bargaining Model with Digit Bias – A Study on Auto Loan Monthly Payments
dedylja [7]

Answer:

This study was carried on by Jiang, Zhenling, during the first semester of 2019 and it involved more than 35 million auto loans in the US. The author determined that monthly payments carrying a $9 ending digit, e.g. $199, had a highest interest rate charged. While those monthly payments carrying a $0 ending digit, e.g. $200, had the lowest interest rate charged. African American and Latin consumers were the most negatively affected groups by the higher interest rates.

The study showed that an effective bargaining tactic would decrease total payments significantly. This research also includes a lot of other information regarding the total economic effects of ending digit bias.

Explanation:

I personally guess that many car sellers and auto loans institutions tempt both African American and Latin consumers by using apparently lower monthly payments (psychologically we all consider $199 to be much cheaper than $200) in order to charge higher interest rates. They also probably offer longer term loans, e.g. 5-6 year loans instead of 3-4 year loans.
