Answer:

In January 1608, Jamestown Colony suffered a great misfortune: arms, shelter, clothing, and food were all destroyed by fire.

Explanation:

Comma is used to separate parts of sentence or to separate items within a sentence.

All choices have correct use of comma.

Colon is a punctuation mark used in the middle of a sentence to explain the first half of the sentence. It may provide explanation, bring examples, or gives a list for the first half.

Here, the second half of the sentence provides a list of misfortunes.

So, this sentence is correct regarding punctuation.

In January 1608, Jamestown Colony suffered a great misfortune: arms, shelter, clothing, and food were all destroyed by fire.

B) with the air released

B) “pumps out”

The word deflated in paragraph 6 is used to describe a balloon that has all of the air released. The author uses this comparison between the balloon and the bladderwort to help the reader better visualize what is happening. The first sentence describes the bladderwort as pumping out all of it's water. This way when a bug comes by and touches a hair in front of it's door, it can suck in a great deal of water, and with it the bug that is now it's meal.
