This war came to close on October 19, 1781, in the Yorktown district of Virginia.</u> This battle proved to be a decisive factor which was a combined effort from the American Continental troop which was lead by General of that time, ‘George Washington’ and French army troops against British army whose commander in chief during that time was General Charles Cornwallis. <u>This siege by troops was considered as last major battle of Revolutionary American war after the surrender of Charles Cornwallis,</u> The British had to negotiate and surrender in order to end the conflict. Five days after this siege got over, the British navy arrived to rescue the British army. <u>Admiral Thomas Graves who was in charge of this fleet was informed about the surrender of General Charles Cornwallis and many soldiers from the British troop confirmed this fact to Admiral Thomas</u>. The Washington moved its army to New York and they remained in New York till the time the Treaty of Paris was signed, which eventually ended the war formally in the year 1783. <u>America’s victory at Yorktown among the most significant battles of the American Revolution because It made the British realize they were fighting a lost cause and soon after, they conceded the war.</u>
