I think the main plot element is exposition, which describes the story's characters. I'm not absolutely sure, though, so don't take my word as gospel! :)

In this summary of a passage from "The First Seyen Years" by Bernard Malamud, the main plot element is exposition. The summary describes the story's characters.

A story has different plot elements: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution. The exposition is the element of the story that introduces the basic characters and setting to the readers in order to catch their attention. Moreover, the conflict of a story is sometimes hinted at the introduction. In this summary of a passage from "The First Seven Years", the main plot element is exposition because it introduces the different characters that are part of the story: Feld, Sobel, Miriam and Max.

What is the summary of the Vietnam Wars the Chinese dragon
larisa86 [58]

The Sino-Vietnamese War (Vietnamese: Chiến tranh biên giới Việt-Trung; simplified Chinese: 中越战争; traditional Chinese:中越戰爭; pinyin: Zhōng-Yuè Zhànzhēng), also known as the Third Indochina War, was a brief border war fought between the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in early 1979. China launched the offensive in response to Vietnam's invasion and occupation of Cambodia in 1978 (which ended the rule of the Chinese-backed Khmer Rouge).[17]Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger wrote that Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping saw this as a Soviet attempt "to extend its evil tentacles to Southeast Asia and...carry out expansion there", which reflected the long-standing Sino-Soviet split.[18] Kissinger also noted that "[w]hatever the shortcomings of its execution, the Chinese campaign reflected a serious, long-term strategic analysis".[19]

The Chinese entered northern Vietnam and captured some of the cities near the border. On March 6, 1979, China declared that the gate to Hanoi was open and that their punitive mission had been achieved. Chinese forces retreated back across the Vietnamese border into China. Both China and Vietnam claimed victory in the last of the Indochina Wars of the 20th century; as Vietnamese troops remained in Cambodia until 1989, it can be said that China failed to achieve the goal of dissuading Vietnam from involvement in Cambodia. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Sino-Vietnamese border was finalized.

China demonstrated to its Cold War Communist adversary, the Soviet Union, that they were unable to protect their new Vietnamese ally.[20] Following worsening relations between the Soviet Union and China as a result of the Sino-Soviet split, as many as 1.5 million Chinese troops were stationed along the Soviet-Chinese border, in preparation for a full-scale war.

Rewrite one of the following short stories from a different perspective:
olga2289 [7]

You can rewrite "The Most Dangerous Game" from Rainsford perspective, narrating it in the first person, and focusing on his feelings, as see below.

Example:

"I could not believe what I had just heard. Was the general implying he hunted... men? 'But you can't mean--" I gasped. 'And why not?' he asked. It felt as if my stomach had tied itself into a knot..."

How to rewrite a story

We are not allowed to rewrite the story for you here. However, we can explain to you how to it and provide ideas. Take a look below:

 • First, read the entire story at once, so that you can grasp the main events you will have to retell.
 • Then, choose whose perspective you will use to rewrite it. For example, you could rewrite "The Most Dangerous Game" from Rainsford's perspective, since he is the main character.
 • Then, reread the story, but already write it from your character's point of view. Ask yourself what the character would be thinking or feeling in the moment.
 • The example we provided above would be the part where General Zaroff reveals to Rainsford that he (Zaroff) hunts men. See how we added descriptive language to show Rainsford's feelings.

With the ideas above in mind, you can easily rewrite the story using another perspective.
