Railroads moved freight and people between urban centers in the East into the interior of the country and ultimately toward the West. Why? Because they are being transported to different people. It is sad, because when they get to the place the people take them too, they get beaten and they have to work long hours, not getting paid, nor getting food too. Even kids get transported too.
