Social Security Act is the act that provides general welfare by instituting a system of central old-agee benefits. It also ensures that the States are delivering adequate provisions for old age workers, blind persons, crippled children, public health organization and other welfare organizations. After much of the debate, the act was passed by congress to provide benefits to the individuals on the basis of their past income.
