Answer:

Positive- The positive effects of the "cotton gin" was that it made producing cotton so much easier. Before Eli Whitney invented the "cotton gin", picking the seeds out of the cotton plants were so laborious and time consuming. but now, it was easy and fast, and farmers made much more money.

Negative- The negative effects of the "cotton gin" was that it made the need for slaves greatly increase, and the number of slave states shot up. Plantations grew, and work became regimented and relentless (unending).

wolverine [178]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

I completely agree with the idea that Television has helped professional sport immensely. It has allowed millions of dollars in advertising to be spent on sports that otherwise may never have got them.

There are many corporations that have signed millionaire contracts to put their names on the uniform of the athletes or to sponsor the sports season, even to buy an advertisement in the stadiums or arenas, because they know that their contests or seasons are broadcasted through television.

The most notorious examples are professional football (NFL), professional basketball (NBA), pro baseball (MLB), pro hockey (NHL), and pro soccer (MLS).

Just to give an example, the sports network ESPN pays the NFL the incredible sum of $1.9 billion per season to broadcast its football games. It is said that pro sports is a ge¿reat business and this number confirms the statement.

Where was there the most progress in medicine (10 lines)

PLEASE PLEASE HELP
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

The 20th century produced such a plenty of discoveries and advances that in some ways the face of medicine changed out of all recognition. In 1901 in the United Kingdom, for instance, the life expectancy at birth, a primary indicator of the effect of health care on mortality (but also reflecting the state of health education, housing, and nutrition), was 48 years for males and 51.6 years for females. After steady increases, by the 1980s the life expectancy had reached 71.4 years for males and 77.2 years for females. Other industrialized countries showed similar dramatic increases. By the 21st century the outlook had been so altered that, with the exception of oft-fatal diseases such as certain types of cancer, attention was focused on morbidity rather than mortality, and the emphasis changed from keeping people alive to keeping them fit.
