Please help asap! Tysm! I will give brainliest and thanks. :)
dsp73

Answer:

(-2,4)

Step-by-step explanation:

There are multiple answers for this, basically anything with an x-value of: -4, -2, 0, 2, or 4

So, you could have (2,4) , (-4,3) , (0,17), (2, -5), etc.

This is because, to be a function, each x-value can only have one corresponding y-value.  Thus, by giving the x-values (in this case, again, -4,-2,0,2, or 4) another y-value, the relation will not be a function.

Easy answer: An x-value can only have one y-value

Answer please? ___ feet per second
Oksanka [162]

Answer: 30 feet per second

========================================

x = diameter, y = speed of water

y varies inversely with respect to x, so, y = k/x for some constant k

If x = 0.6 and y = 5 pair up, then y = k/x turns into 5 = k/0.6 which solves to k = 3 when you multiply both sides by 0.6

So the equation y = k/x turns into y = 3/x

Now plug in the diameter x = 0.1 to find the speed to be...

y = 3/x

y = 3/0.1

y = 30 feet per second

Find the sum of the first 90 terms of the sequence -4,-1,2,5,8
telo118 [61]

Answer:

1655

Step-by-step explanation:

Note the common difference d between consecutive terms of the sequence

d = - 1 - (- 4) = 2 - (- 1) = 5 - 2 = 8 - 5 = 3

This indicates the sequence is arithmetic with sum to n terms

S_{n} = \frac{n}{2} [ 2a₁ + (n - 1)d ]

Here a₁ = - 4, d = 3 and n = 90, thus

S_{90} = \frac{90}{2} [ (2 × - 4) + (89 × 3) ] = 45(- 8 + 267) = 45 × 259 = 1655

One store has carrots on sale for $1.1 for 3 pounds, while another store has carrots on sale for $0.78 for two pounds. Which sto
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

1) The store selling for 1.1 per 3 lbs

2) $6.24

Step-by-step explanation:

1)

1.1/3 = 0.37

0.78/2 = 0.39

0.37 is cheaper so it's a better deal

2)

\frac{0.78}{3} =\frac{x}{24} \\\\3x=18.72\\x=6.24
